The worlds supply of Helium is rapidly diminishing. Through the use of festive balloons and other significantly less important methods, amounts of the gas currently in possession are coming to an all time low.
Helium is used to cool magnets in MRI Scanners in hospitals and is also mixed with oxygen to make breathing easier for ill patients. In 30 to 50 years we could be facing a major global crisis. Roughly 75% of this gaseous element, which cannot be synthesized, is extracted from the United States alone.
There is no way of currently creating artificial helium and once it's used, it's gone forever.
To save and preserve this precious element, we must call for a ban on helium balloons and other impractical methods used with this gas.
