Endorse a more comprehensive sexual education curriculum in public schools

Research supports the claim that comprehensive is far more successful at preventing teen pregnancies, the spread of STIs, and emotional well being.
So why do only 22 states and the District of Columbia mandate any form of education at all?
The issue of sex education is not simply a matter for families , to be left up to a parent/guardian's discretion alone. It is a public health issue that must be addressed on the national level.
In an ideal world, standards would be set for each state to meet in their curriculum, such as the information provided be medically accurate and unbiased, that it cannot promote any religion, etc.
Implementing such standards are the first, easiest step to increasing overall public health for our country and her citizens.
