We the people petition President Barack Obama to endorse Pigford III, a campaign to deliver cash relief, tax payments, and debt relief to Black Farmers who have won their claim of race discrimination against the United States Department of Agriculture.
The signers of this petition further believe that the 2.979 Black Farmers in Georgia who have prevailed must be financially compensated according to the judgment reached by the courts on April 14, 1999.
We petition the President of the United States to issue an Executive Order. Whereas, Executive Orders from previous Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Clinton have served to remedy racial discrimination, we believe the financial restoration of the Pigford III Farmers is necessary for both justice and economic
