President Obama, please sign the following 1 sentence executive order.
As of Fiscal year 2014, all REPLACEMENT cars for all federal agencies must be powered exclusively by Natural Gas, or have the option to run on natural gas, commonly referred to as Bi-Fuel.
This will guarantee a market for natural gas cars, thereby creating an incentive for car makers to re-tool and mass produce, which will bring the cost down for everyone. This is only for replacement vehicles.
What oil is to the middle east, natural gas is to USA. We have hundreds of years of easy and cheap to recover natural gas. The infrastructure already exists to deliver natural gas. It is FAR more clean burning than gasoline.
Just the threat of converting over to natural gas will scare the middle east to lower oil prices
