enforce and protect owner's rights. Acknowledge domestic animals as "family" vs "property".

Created by V.S. on March 11, 2015

Domestic animal owners should have more rights over their pets; instead of the animal being seen as a possession or property. The domestic pet is seen as family and should be treated with more respect in the Court System and by law. Furthermore, if a pet has been forcibly separated from their family unlawfully; owners should have the right to prosecute to the furthest extent. It should be a felony to knowingly steal, harbor, sell or endanger any pet that already has a household and should be seen as abuse. Without a paper of surrender from the owner, no transactions should be committed. It should also be seen as a crime to withhold information to the whereabouts of a stolen pet. It is our duty, to protect animals from abuse and neglect; and families from being upset. Thank you for you time.
