Enforce the arrest of Mayor Bloomberg for disobeying a court order to allow protestors back in Zuccotti Park.

Created by D.D. on November 15, 2011

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Lucy Billings issued a temporary restraining order at 6:30 a.m. on November 15th, barring New York City and Brookfield Properties from evicting Occupy Wall Street protesters or preventing them from returning to the park with their tents and tarps.

ThinkProgress spoke to the plaintiff's attorney Gideon Orion Oliver, who confirmed that the order was served on Mayor Bloomberg and the other defendants via fax at 7:50 a.m. At an 8 a.m. press conference, Bloomberg acknowledged he was aware of the restraining order, but claimed he hadn't been served and was keeping the park closed.

We demand an enforcement of Mayor Bloomberg's arrest for his non-compliance with the court order, proving that NO ONE is above the law, no matter their economic or political power.
