Enforce Border Security

The possible solution to the ILLEGAL immigration problem along our southern border is this. We start off with sealing the border and I do mean seal. No one getting across! While we do that, we build 'Ellis Island' type places all along the southern border. Putting thousands of US citizens back to work building buildings and making roads. With 'Ellis Island' type buildings in place, we will be able to keep track of whose coming in ie. guest workers,etc...
At these facilities, we do some type of background check, take a picture, take fingerprints, and a get DNA swab. All this will be done to EVERY single person. A medical checkup would also be given. If the person does not want to comply, then I guess they don't want to come into this country.
I believe this idea could work.
