Purchasing of mortgages on the secondary mortgage market should not cause disruption and inconvenience to the home owner who has no control over who takes over the servicing of the loan and the frequency.
A home owner who is dutiful to pay their mortgage on time and is able to do so at the start in a bimonthly manner (due to no prepayment penalties) in order to repay the debt faster, should not experience having their mortgage servicing transferred to an institution that does not 'offer' this ability.
Continuity and availability of payment options should be explicit in the original servicing terms and be subject in the terms of purchasing such loans in a secondary market to ensure they remain constant for the home owner responsible for paying the loan.
