Current levels of immigration supervision have allowed an immigrant to obtain a student visa and yet remain in this country for three years without ever going to school, working illegally without paying taxes for these three years, and obtaining a green card without reporting previous arrests for thefts.
After the green card was obtained this immigrant was convicted of three additional charges of theft in addition to committing fraud to obtain government student aid and grants.
While we support lawful immigration, the level of supervision of visa recipients and green card holders must be raised to protect the integrity of our country and our laws.
