As per the The Controlled Substances Act, marijuana is classified as a schedule 1 drug. Despite this fact, several states have taken it upon themselves to legalize the consumption of marijuana.
These state enacted laws are in violation of Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. We the undersigned demand that the President take the following actions:
1) Enforce all laws that pertain to the prohibition marijuana.
2) Fund the DEA, FBI, and any other law enforcement agencies needed to bring these states into compliance.
3) Pay for the above by levying sanctions on states in violation of the law.
4) Withhold federal funding to states that refuse to enforce marijuana laws.
Mr. President, obey your oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
