We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Enforce the freedoms afforded by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution at Colleges and Universities.

Created by T.J. on May 13, 2016

This is a Petition started by a sole individual on behalf of an entire country which sees its most valuable "inalienable right" being rescinded from the United States citizens who attend federally aided colleges and universities, which are currently responsible for censoring the ideas and opinions of their students via: requiring students to adhere to non-factually based material held by staff and administration, the silencing of responsive protest, and the direct spatial limitation of free speech and the promotion of ideas on campus grounds. The primary function of University, historically, was to promote the open and free exchange of ideas so that you may test your own knowledge against that of others with reasonable self-doubt. If we lose this right as a people, we lose as a country.
