Given recent events, I believe we can and should conclude that crowds calling for violence against law enforcement officials are "inciting imminent danger" - the legal definition of crossing the Rubicon with regards to "free speech" and "hate speech"
Also, many officers are identifiable by a physical attribute (their uniforms) which differentiates them from the majority. This qualifies them as a minority, and they are therefore entitled to protection under "hate speech" laws.
