Based on the Bill of Rights every American has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Some individuals find themselves happiest in the arms of an individual of the same gender. It is unconstitutional to allow their rights to be stripped away because of the mindset of other Americans.
The constitution states that there is a separation of church and state ; therefore I call that all religious teachings be banned in the debates and discussions of the government employees .
I also ask that marriage equality be acknowledged federally and that states refusing to acknowledge a legal marriage between two individuals of the same sex be able to be sued.
Marriage equality needs to be instituted immediately and no religious organization should be allowed to hinder it .
