Consumers have a right to know how the food we eat and feed our families is produced, but under current FDA regulations, we don’t have that ability when it comes to genetically modified foods (GMOs).
More than forty countries, including Russia and China, already require labels on genetically engineered foods. It is irresponsible and negligent to deny Americans this option.
If organic farmers have to go through a rigourous and thorough process to sell their naturally grown food, so should corporations have to undergo the inconvenience for producing toxic foods and genectically modified organisms. We demand our right to know.
