Recent news coverage of unjust police brutality shows that the act of enforcing the law requires more than answering to a superior upon committing unjust actions against civilians as a law enforcement official. The time of unbridled and unregulated enforcement of the law is over. It was not tolerated with the Rodney King incident in 1991, nor with the killing of Trayvon Martin, and it will never be tolerated. We ask that you lobby for a separate judicial system in which officers of the law be held accountable for all acts of unjust violence and discrimination. The punishment will match the crime. No one person will preside, but rather a judge and jury of 13 objective citizens will decide if punitive measures are to be taken against the officer(s) in question. Justice must follow injustice.
