We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Enforce a mandatory raise of police hiring requirements, performance standards, and base pay

Created by K.G. on July 07, 2016

In the tumultuous times society has entered, it is increasingly important to employ the very best of individuals to protect and serve their community. Cities across the US are facing detrimental hostilities between residents and their individual police departments. Police brutality has reached an alarming rate and the black people of America are taking the brunt of that brutality. Becoming a police officer is often a lifelong dedication that you are willing to give your life for, not take a life for. Since the mid 2000s the hiring standards for police has been slowly lowering from educational requirements to minimum passing test scores. If we raise the standards and ensure job satisfaction we have the potential to change the dynamic of the police departments and the safety of the citizens
