Enforce military/public gun/hunt/ammo safety laws in private property residences of less than 10 acres used as ranges.

Created by L.G. on December 17, 2012

Currently private property owners who live on small acreage (Less than 10 acres) without further ordinances are subjected to loopholes in the application of military and public gun/hunting/ammunition safety laws. Although requirements for posting to hunt, wearing of flash colors, and safety zone distances from lines of fire are addressed in public gun and hunt safety guidelines, at least in the State of Tennessee, these same safety guidelines used on public lands, and also in the military as applied to assault weapons, are not enforced on private lands. Private land owners who desire to not live next to a private target range and small acreage big game kills are subject to hoping a gun-advocate neighbor "aims in the other direction". Children wear Flash in the yard, listen shots daily.
