Enforce OSHA standards with large corporations, especially large meatpacking plants.

Created by J.M. on January 13, 2013

After reading the book Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser I am amazed and appalled at the gall of the largest corporations in the United States. They seem to have the clout of a monopoly, which they are. Large meatpacking companies such as IBP, Tyson, and Purdue treat employees and "independent contractors" as commodities which can be manipulated and cajoled into pawns in their game of profits.
In addition, the entire food supply should be better safeguarded. I want to KNOW that my food is safe and edible. OSHA and the USDA/FDA should be given broad new roles in ensuring that our food supply is safe, for the consumer and employees of the corporations!
