Hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I was wondering if maybe you could help with dealing with a large home builder, who builds substandard housing right here in Washington DC. I just moved in a new development by Ryan Homes and despite all the promises from the sales office, townhouse was not built to withstand the amounts of noise coming from the busy street leading to Costco warehouse. I tried to bring this up with the builder and they refused to do anything about it.
The noise in the house is absolutely unbearable. I did contact DC building permits authorities, but their a response was they recognize this is an issue, but there is nothing they can do.
Neither builder nor DC authorities are going to inform future home buyers, so they will keep building substandard units.
