Enforce salary cuts on the People's Representatives when their seats are left vacant to avoid impending Bill deadlines.

In lieu of mandatory budget cuts and Sequestration, a law previously approved by Congress, this petition demands that the People's Representatives be held financially accountable when the seat they pledged to represent is left vacant when a vote is both necessary and vital to the American People. We the People are not given the luxury to leave our places of employment when presented with an impending deadline and a critical issue at hand, and neither should those sworn to represent us. As such, this petition demands that a mandatory tax be implemented which would be assessed at 1% per day that the seat is vacant. With salaries of upwards of $174,000, and over 1,000 days to prepare a new budget, there must an end to Congressional abuse of power.
