Enforce a Separation of Church and State on All Levels of Government

Created by J.A. on November 18, 2012

For too long, our nation's Senators, Congressmen, Governors, and so forth have used religion as a crutch. A crutch which is used to garner votes and sway public opinion.

By enforcing a separation of church and state, there will be far less conflict in government. No more Congressmen and Senators objecting to common sense laws based on their religious preference.

Abortion, for example, is the biggest offender. The debate always comes down to a woman's right to choose versus another person's religious view on the matter. When it comes to state or federal law, religion should not be a factor.

When someone uses their religion to block a bill from passing, they are ultimately denying everyone else their freedom of religion. Or in this case, a freedom FROM religion.
