"The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings." - John F. Kennedy

Our society is based on the rights of the people. Yet many organizations within our government keep an inordinate amount of knowledge secreted away from those whom they are meant to serve under the guise of "National Security."

Any classified information or secret older than 10 years should be considered public domain and released unless it infringes on a person's privacy rights. This is a reasonable time frame to have developed a reasonable defense against any given secret that would threaten the people as a whole. Serve the people and tell us the truth!
