We are exposed to a slew of harmful chemical compounds on a daily basis. Many of these are released by our industries and dumped into our water and air. Science has classified many synthetic chemicals regularly used by industries and agriculture-corporations that are most likely carcinogenic. Some have been linked to sterility and birth defects. With increasing rates of sterility and cancer, it is more important than ever to not only fund further research for these compounds, but also to enforce stricter regulation.
Unfortunately, due to rampant lobbying by agribusiness and other industries, few politicians will ever consider regulating the dangerous toxin industry. It is our duty to demand clean air and water, not just for us, but for our children and grandchildren.
