enforce the tax code as it regards church exemptions.

Created by S.K. on October 31, 2013

The tax exempt status of churches amounts to a tax payer subsidy. According to a study done by the University of Tampa, the cost is $71,000,000,000 annually. Increasingly churches are not abiding by the terms of their tax exempt status and are directly entering into the political arena through sermons, community messages, and contributions to politically connected causes. We petition the government to disallow the tax exempt status of churches engaging in these or similar activities. We call for the strict enforcement of tax code and constitutional law and separation of church and state.
