70% of transgender people report experiencing discrimination in their health care, ranging from verbal abuse to refusal of treatment, and 19% of transgender people report being denied health care. Whether it's hormone replacement therapy, SRS, or even something as routine as a check up, transgender patients are fighting an uphill battle.
Due to "Obamacare", these people are receiving federal funding and tax credits. It's time to step up and say "NO! We will not allow any institution that receives federal funding to discriminate against the care of patients in need." Even if you don't think this bill applies to you, it may apply to someone that you love. Let's make this world a better place for everyone.
