I am a transgender female living in San Diego and Palm Springs. I have had to deal with such discrimination from the LGBT community and the other communities, that I want to know how congress plans on backing up the presidents Mathew Shepard legislation with concrete actions. This petition sheds light on darkness where there is hate. It brings this issue to the publics eye and makes people realize that civil rights are important for all subgroups not just some.
