North Korea tops several human rights organizations lists of human rights abusers. Christians can be executed for simply owning a Bible, having church, or even just having their faith discovered. Citizens are denied resources, forcing the country into multiple famines, with recent reports of citizens resorting to cannibalism. One of their most shocking policies is to arrest three generations of an entire family, for one person's petty crime, which could include things as simply as participating in markets, expressing their religious faith, or having political opinions out of line with the regime.
I am asking that the president directly engage with Kim Jong Un, his family, and leaders of North Korea discussing their human rights policies, much like President Reagan did with the USSR.
