Engage parents in getting treatment for adult psychiatric patients. Current legislations prevent parents input.

Created by V.M. on December 18, 2012

Healthcare system ignores the mentally disabled children. Psychiatric counseling is limited to a few visits to the counsellor which is out of proportion compared to other physical therapy. Insurance companies should take into consideration to provide more services to these patients in the wake of recent shooting.

When parents are taking responsibility to get treatment to a child over 16 years of age and if the child refuses to take treatment parents have no recourse as a result of the law that prevents parents input.
