Enlarge the House of Representatives to better represent the States, and the constituents within these states.

Created by J.A. on April 03, 2013

The congress of the United States has not been increased to meet with population increases since 1912. Since then, the population has increased over 250% meaning that large population states have fallen to a large disadvantage in representation and in the electoral college. Small population states either are disproportionately over-represented or underrepresented both in the congress or in the EC. By increasing the size of congress to 543, members will be able to better represent the voters, and districts would be closer to parity with each other. By maintaining the system as it is, every 10 years (after the census) we continue to undermine the branch of government that was create to represent us the most. If you've never met your congressperson, then you should sign this petition!
