Ensure 100% of US Veterans have health insurance or government provided healthcare access. Nearly 2 million US veterans currently do not have access to healthcare or health insurance. While enlisted, service men and women receive government provided healthcare to ensure that they remain combat-ready. It is necessary that we as a society protect and ensure the success of our veterans after their mission ends. A government provided medical insurance program similar to the option provided to congress through FEHBP should be considered a minimum option. It is unacceptable that those who choose to send our soldiers into battle have better access to healthcare than those who have served their country.
