Ensure adequate medical treatment for military dependents is actually considered during permanent change of duty station

Created by K.K. on August 05, 2015

Establish punitive regulation directing the authority to approve permanent change of duty station for military families with Exceptional Family Members. Move authority away from military medical authorities and to the treating physicians as assigned by Tricare. Establish advance identification of duty locations that suit the service member's family's special medical, climate and educational needs. Eliminate current staff of medical and educational needs advisors for EFMP who lack medical degrees or knowledge to assess treatment, climate and special education availability. Make stationing service members with EFMs away from needs a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Give our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen the benefits and treatment they were promised and deserve.
