ensure that all facilities that sell gasoline must provide, free of charge, tire pressure maintenance stations.

In an effort to increase the fuel efficiency of American automobiles, decrease the dependency on foreign oil, and improve highway safety, I petition the White House to establish the following. All facilities that dispense gasoline for consumers must provide free of charge pressure stations so that motorists can maintain the recommended tire pressure for their vehicles. This will increase vehicle MPG, lower emissions, improve the environment, save consumers money, decrease foreign oil dependence, and improve highway safety. These stations could be established with little upfront expense and could be paid for through gasoline taxes or sales.
