Ensure that ALL government employees receiving health insurance coverage, contribute toward the cost of that insurance.

Created by H.S. on September 23, 2011

In an effort to address the deficit, government employees should be contributing toward the cost of their health care coverage, as almost all taxpaying citizens are required to do. In many cases employees contribute as much as 75% toward their premiums (with employers covering 25%). I can't see it as an onerous burden to have these employees cover 25% of their cost. I believe that every Federal government employee whether it be a member of Congress, Federal Court, or employee or resident of the White House should contribute as everyone else. In addition, as in the non-union private sector, this coverage ceases with the employment. It seems only fair. This should save literally trillions of dollars over time.
