Ensure allocated funds to assist small/new businesses are made directly to them, not placed in the hands of gatekeepers.

Created by S.I. on October 04, 2011

Ensure Recovery Act + Stimulus Plan funds allocated to assist small + new businesses are provided directly to qualified recipients and not held by financial institution or political gatekeepers. Small + new businesses are dealt with individually when the government requires tax payer money via the IRS. However, when the reverse transaction is required, the government doesn't use this existing system for depositing funds directly into business via the IRS. Gatekeepers should not receive public funds as no verification system is in place to track these funds into small + new businesses. Small + new businesses do not know where to apply for these funds or how to obtain them. An information campaign via public service announcements with direct mail to businesses should be implemented.
