ensure that any attempt by Congress to move from the CPI to the chained CPI will be vetoed.

The Congressional attempt to move COLA (Cost of Living Adjustments) for Social Security benefits, federal civilian annuities, military retired pay, veterans' benefits and disability insurance benefits is unfair on several levels.

For federal employees, upon accepting a position in exchange for certain duties the govt agreed to provide certain benefits & pay. This is a contract. For one side to arbitrarily change the conditions of the contract w/o the consent of the other party to the contract is a violation of what we consider due process. Like the other categories mentioned, we work and/or serve the military with the expectation that the govt will meet its contractual obligations upon termination of our chosen service. This change targets those whose medical costs are rising. Unfair!
