We, the undersigned, want President Obama to use the full weight and power of the White House to make it a priority that has every one that is employed with a full time job receives a Living Wage above the poverty line not only nationally, but for their region within the nation. Additionally, all of these changes should have triggers to increase wages or other poverty protections automatically triggered to inflation and other economic forces.
This goal would likely require a variety of smaller goals including minimum wage increases, fostering unions and increases in consumer protections.
In a world of record corporate profits, and vast CEO to average worker income ratios, we are sure that the money is available to make this happen.
The nation's long term economic health is at hand.
