There needs to be an intense focus on forcing Century-Link and other businesses who have a monopoly on providing DSL service, to provide this service to all rural areas. Whether used for education, research, entertainment or business, it is vital to be connected and reliably and consistently functional at high speed. Often carriers extend lines to new construction, bypassing existing segments of rural neighborhoods. We are underserved by the only DSL provider in our area (South of Charlottesville, VA) and multiple contacts and avenues have led nowhere. Our neighborhood is representative of a cross section of America, and are asking for help. Thank you.
