Ensure that Congress votes for one point at a time instead of voting for a bill with multiple unrelated content and laws

Created by T.T. on December 26, 2012

Congress should vote on only one point at a time, instead of a large bill with many unrelated parts that gets an all YES or all NO vote. They must vote on each point. It would take less time to vote in parts of the bill, but at least parts get done. This helps citizens to know where their Rep stands. Most bills are too large for members to read, let alone understand. Members slips in unrelated content and now the bill looks different than its original intent. The American people cannot know what their representative stood for. This should cut out pork barrel spending because the member cannot hide behind the other parts of the bill. More will get done because today Congress fights over the whole bill with many parts. If they vote on one part at a time, more parts get through the process.
