Currently, there is a divide between students who have access to technology, based upon parental ability to purchase and maintain devices and Internet connectivity. Based on this, many students are not interacting with and learning how to use technology that will be vital for future college and career success. This petition proposes that the government support provision of 1:1 technology for students that demonstrate financial need, to be used for classwork. Currently, these students are falling behind.
