I petition that there be a federal or state mandate applicable to all licensed Childcare providers and facilities that requires the installation of cameras with optional parental remote access survelience of live footage while child is in the care of the provider. This will aid in the prosecution or defense of criminal cases regarding abuse and neglect of children. Most public places already have cameras in place that are effectively utilized as evidence in criminal cases. Most Child/elder care facilities do not for fear of liability. Sadly most parents of abused/neglected children have no evidence other than the child's word which is quickly dismissed in court. Statistics are frightening. Do the research. Help us protect our children!
