This petition requests an Emergency Order modifying Title 42, Chapter 119, Subchapter I of the United States Code for the purpose of providing federal assistance to any Veteran honorably discharged from military service who “lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence” by allowing such individuals and their immediate families to be designated as “homeless” for the purpose of receiving federal housing and related benefits without also requiring that Veterans and their family members enter (A) a supervised publicly or privately operated shelter, (B) institution that provides temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized, or are (C) sleeping in a public or private place not designed, or ordinarily used, as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.
