ensure that Internet anonymity is respected and that users of anonymous postings are protected from prosecution.

Created by L.K. on December 29, 2012

In this day and age, almost every person in the United States has some form of Internet presence. There are some people who wish to remain anonymous from their postings, comments, profiles, websites, and any other form of online expression.

This petition requests that if a person has declared themselves to be anonymous that they be spared from prosecution, as to do so would violate their First Amendment rights to free speech.

Note: This would naturally be exempt from threats and other forms of hate speech.
