We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

ensure justice for abused children by mandating all 50 states prosecute abusers regardless of state of occurrence.

Created by W.F. on July 31, 2016

Every year many abused children are left unprotected because of a loophole. States are not required to follow up on reports of abuse from other states. If abuse happens in one state, but it is reported in another, that state can actually choose not to pursue the case -- even if the abuse has been found to have happened by the state where the crime was reported. This often happens along state lines or when the abuse is reported while the family is on vacation. As a result, many children are never rescued from their abuser, and the abuse continues. This is unacceptable! Even one child's suffering should never occur! I implore Congress to change the law so that states must investigate child abuse that occurs across state lines, prosecute the abusers, and protect innocent children!
