This is not a black people's petition--This is an American people's petition. We are America! And as Americans we strongly reject the notion that we only become concerned with civil/human rights violations when they happen to members of our "group".
We are the greatest country on Earth because when our principles, our values are violated; we don't say "not my problem" "not my child" "not my race" we stand up for justice and for the name and reputation of our country.
We understand that the Florida law EVEN AS WRITTEN only states that a person does not have a duty to RETREAT before using deadly force if fearing great bodily injury and does NOT allow an individual to PURSUE someone else, confront this person, and then claim self-defense in killing this person.
We demand justice!
