We would like those representing us on issues of science and technology to have at least a basic and accurate understanding of science. To help ensure this, all members of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the House Committe on Natural Resources should be required to pass a test of basic science literacy developed by the National Academy of Sciences.
