Ensure military spouses do not lose college credits when moving with their military spouses.

Created by S.C. on January 19, 2013

Right now, a military spouse can work hard to obtain a college education. She/he can use her/his financial aid up before receiving a degree and in some cases pay back more in student loans due to retaking credits. Each time a military family has to move, if there is a college student within that household, that person(s) loses up to 60 credits when transferring to a new school. This happens to active duty member's families every 2-4 years. If a spouse does not finish a degree path before the active duty family member is re-stationed then they lose big. This is a huge hardship for military families and I would like to put a stop to it.
