It is known that our electrical grid is vulnerable to attack and other disruptions. Protecting the grid is of vital importance not only for national security but the welfare of all citizens. There are countless dollars spent in defense of this nation, it only makes sense to ensure that out lights stay on and we are able to sustain basic functions not only at a military level but citizen level as well. In the event of an attack against our electrical systems, power should not only be afforded to those who hold high government positions. It would be a greater show of power to have the majority of the nation functional after a brute force attack.
