This petition is to show the administration that net neutrality is a consumer protection issue that must be enforceable. This is not forcing government regulation on private business, but is necessary to make the playing field level for all internet users and business that use the internet to present services to consumers.
Without protection on Net Neutrality, the ISPs will be able to throttle, limit, or block completely the access to legal content in order to server their own interests.
The Neutrality of the Internet leads to open sharing of information and supports competition for existing business models. By allowing the ISPs to choose what and how the internet is accessed will limit the "free" speech of individuals and companies that have not paid for the ISP premier packages.
