Ensure a New Paiute Tribal Artifact Museum at Malheur WR

Created by R.L. on February 10, 2016

With all the media that's been focused on the Malheur Wildlife Refuge, it has brought to light many atrocities that have occurred for the Paiute tribe whom have called this land home for Thousands of Years.

We have witnessed the manner in which ancient artifacts are being stored at the refuge as well as many that may have been destroyed. These artifacts serve as a reminder of the history of that land, and are an integral part of the Tribal heritage that need to be preserved and protected.

I would ask that we all contribute to assist in building a museum at Malheur to house these artifacts and that we work in conjunction with the Burns Paiute Tribe to preserve their Heritage.

Mr President, We ask that you arrange a meeting with the Paiute Council to address ways to move forward.
