Dear President Obama,
As a college students from a working class family whose single-parent mother works really hard to send the child to go a State University, I fear that the news reporting of the United States congress trying to eradicate the Food Stamp and other welfare program will have catastrophic impact.It is unwise to cut the food stamp money from the poor. It will not save the government a penny.The millions of Americans will be starving and not be able to afford other life necessities such as housing and education. It will limited their social mobility and perpetuate poverty. Poor people might even try to feed themselves through illegal means.
Please don't abandon American people during a time of economic downturn. Please assure the poor a continuing welfare system.
